2.4 Order of precedence. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, in the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained.
3. DEFINITIONS
3.1 Aircraft store. Any device intended for internal or external carriage and mounted on aircraft suspension and release equipment, whether or not the item is intended to be separated in flight from the aircraft. Aircraft stores are classified in two categories as follows:
a. Expendable store. An aircraft store normally separated from the aircraft in flight such as a missile, rocket, bomb, nuclear weapon, mine, torpedo, pyrotechnic device, sonobuoy, signal underwater sound device, cargo drop container, drone, and other similar items.
b. Non-expendable store. An aircraft store that is not normally separated from the aircraft in flight such as a tank (fuel and spray), line source disseminator, pod (refueling, thrust
